YSIOALAYA

In 2004, seeking to make way for a new generation of skaters moving into or visiting Marshall, MI, the skaters were asked to move from their favorite skate spots and accept the new skate park. There they struggled to progress, to work with limited equipment and to grow as skateboarders. Eventually in the summer of 2009, they were locked out. Some accepted defeat and some went back to their once favorite skate spots only to be asked to leave. The Marshall Skate Park Committee has taken a vow to never surrender and to help rebuild the Marshall Skate Park, to make it something that the kids can be proud of… that we can be proud of.

Working with nothing isn’t anything new, so we’re asking the entire community to come together and help our cause and to remember, “Your Scene Is Only As Lame As You Are.” (YSIOALAYA)

The YSIOALAYA is a non-profit organization formed by an independent group of guys native to the Marshall area that live, breath, and support the skateboarding scene. They came together with the goal to provide all skaters, young and old, a safe place for avid skateboarders; beginners to the novice, a safe place to learn, practice, improve their skills, and instill pride in their local skate park by enhancing their local one.

Sincerely,
Your Scene Is Only As Lame As You Are
A non-profit organization created to improve the Marshall Skate Park
